Success For A Project

Generally, the application of Systems Engineering (SE) principles assures the successful realization of a system design within the framework of an administrative Project Management scenario.

System Engineering principles were first developed and implemented during the very ambition US-Apollo mission. Since then, SE was constantly improved and ultimately introduced as a standard in modern system design programs within the United States industry.

For us, Systems Engineering is an integral part of our consulting strategy used within complex projects. The absence of SE application in many major corporations worldwide is most likely one major reason for their unsatisfactory performance.

Since SE standards have been introduces as a mandatory part for project management principles within many United States industries, the performance of their projects has significantly improved. Several well known statistics support this view. As an example, see INCOSE studies.

The application of Systems Engineering standards improves the transparency, efficiency and reliability of a project development cycle. It will definitely reduce project risks and minimizes the occurrence of possible project crises.

Our competence in Systems Engineering is based on many years of experience with major US- and European projects, both in leading management roles as well as consulting assignments within specific SE processes.

The following figure shows the Systems Engineering process applied by us within all major projects.

Projectmanagement

Both areas of competence, i.e. Project Management and Systems Engineering, are closely entwined and essential for the ultimate success for a project management endeavor.
